2017 Salt Fork River Art & Music Festival Line Up (so far)

Cap Quirk
Cap Quirk is a one-man band, rhythmic story-teller.  His timeless folk-americana style is embellished by his captivating lyrics and musical inventiveness.  Born and raised in the small town, family culture of rural Indiana, Cap is a dreamer and a creator; someone who relates to a piece of everyone.  Following his first album “Step One,” his newly released album “Sessions on Leslie,” truly “reaches out from within” as stated in the song, “Carry On.”  A melodic blend of emotional journeys relatable to the masses, “Sessions on Leslie” is the type of album that makes you question your current journey and the point of its fulfillment.  Its acoustic rawness compliments Cap’s authenticity and audience congruity.  “I’ll show you the meaning I’m pursuin'” from track number seven, is a key element of his message that life’s greatest moments are in fact the side-steps off the broken path to an ever changing destination.

separatorHadley Kennary

Ben Bedford
Ben Bedford is an Illinois songwriter and charismatic storyteller who plays Americana original music.  He establishes himself as a songwriter in the tradition of musical icons ranging from Bill Morrissey to Woody Guthrie, casting individual people in the theater of the American landscape. A true son of the heartland, as he dips into the deep inkwell of classic American literature and writes with the ‘old soul’ quality of his literary idols, such as John Steinbeck and Toni Morrison.  In the past nine years since the release of his first album, Ben has played his songs for audiences all over the United States hitting notable venues such as The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, Folkstage in Chicago, and the Fayetteville Roots Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
